Ketchup vs Tomato Sauce
The debate continues across the continents…which is better…ketchup (as in Canada)…or tomato sauce (as in New Zealand)? Let us first look at the visual evidence above…hmmm, not sure which one looks more appealing?
Then there is the ingredients. The basic ingredients in modern ketchup are tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, salt, allspice, cloves and cinnamon. Onions, celery, and other vegetables are frequent additions. Sounds kind of spicy and flavourful! As for the ingredients in tomato sauce, tomatoes and water…yawn!
Which would you enjoy more on your golden brown french fries or a juicy meatloaf? I think that this pretty much concludes this unbiased opinion!
